Honda made the NX in 125, 250, and 650 sizes. I assume you have one of the smaller ones. Being that Honda only produced those bikes for a short time I don't think there are alot of hop up parts available (maybe for the 650). The best thing you can do is keep your bike in good shape and top tune. At least that way it will be worth more when you sell or trade it for a newer, bigger, faster bike next year !!!!!!!

The engine is very similar to the XL/XR/CB 125/185/200 (and the new 230, but thats electric start only)
The 125 can be bored to 145cc using a modified CB750 piston (early model, 1969~78) or try to get hold of a 185/200 engine. Tuning parts for the above will work but there are a couple of different camshaft bearing sizes. easiest thing to do is fit a decent exhaust system and a bigger carb (about 24~26mm,) I used to use left carb from Suzuki GT250, had XL125 up to 90mph
None of the work is cheap unless you can do it yourself so I guess your friends will have to go slower (if they are friends they will)
