My friend bought a 1990 honda crx. i have a honda crx si, and i was wondering if the parts for his turbo would be compatible since i have a bigger engine then he does. well anyways, i have all the turbo parts sitting in a box in my car right now just waiting to be installed, sooo…. is there some type of website that would tell me how to install it?
Are Vitara Pistons Worth Getting?
i have a d16z6 and i want to boost,and the vitara forged pistons are alot less inexpensive than other brands is it cuz there junk or what?

Ok i finally have the money for my build and i cant remember were i read it but vitaras are .5mm too small or something so if i get the 75.5mm vitaras i should have less slappage on startup.
- mine are 75mm and they are fine on the y8. The guy from puerto rico on ebay.. I think its the same guy.. They are pretty tight of a fit.. did you bore it out or something.. A quick hone job isnt going to put you out to .5 extra my nog.
- Mine are 75 in a d16a6 block and there is no slappage. BTW we are now selling sets of 75mm YCP Vitara Pistons / Hastings Rings / SCAT rods for D series for $414 plus shipping. These are the same piston/ring sets FJT is selling on HT. This deal is not on our website, just hit us with an email if you want a set. We did a test fitment of these here in the shop, and the Vitara pins appear to fit without any reaming of the SCAT rod pin ends. You might be able to get away with a plug and play (and just notching the block), but to cover our butts we’ll say… “Have a professional machinist check all clearances and tolerances on all parts before assembly”

Compression Check on D16A6 Vitara
anyone know where my compression should be when i check it?
cause its a very low compression motor, but im getting like 110-115 all the way across and that seems ridiculously low.
anybody?
- I dont think thats that far off a stock d16a6 will throw around 170-180
- should be about 150, did you open the TB while cranking?
- My vitara z6 is 125 across the board. With your a6 head compression should be a bit lower. Id say 110-115 is normal. Throttle open of course.
