Do I Have To Get A Tune On My Car If I Install A Turbo?

I own a 95 Honda Accord dx. I want to put a turbo and have an idea how to do it. I am just wandering if after I have o get a tune done and how much it might be for the cheapest one

    ask around. a stock pcm should be able to handle the extra air ounce things like the O2 sensor start picking up a lean code. but to much boost may send a code. your pcm may not be able to hold the injectors open long enough due to preset limits. an easy way to get around this is to either get your fuel pressure up or find injectors that flow more gph. if it dose throw lean codes id say injectors first. if the stock injectors are held open to long by a custom tuned pcm they may fry.

    I’d suggest you spend lots of time on tuner websites and see how the other guys did it, and also note their mistakes. You need more than “an idea” if you don’t want to go back to walking. Be safe, have fun!

    dont know bout price, but u could add some HP if you do a performance tune up, performance plugs and so on, but if u want to see a major improvement after the turbo, have your pcm re flashed, so it can correct air and fuel mistures
