Good Hp Increases In 02 Honda Civic Si?

5 Comments 30 January 2010

i have an 02 honda civic si, and would like to add some hp to my car. i would like my car to go a little faster, not too much b/c i dnt race… i also wouldnt wanna spend a lot of money, so no turbo kits. i also dont plan on add a cold air intake bc i dnt want any hydrolocking happening, lol. so what is the best, and cheapest way to increase the performance of my car. i dont want my car to look like a ricer, so what can i do to my exhaust system with not too much sound, but a nice one…. srry if my question is a bit over the place but im in school lol… thnx

put a header, high flow cat, and exhuast cat back, that will add power, and also you can chip it, just a plug in chip

use a “vortec” cone for bringing air into the engine. It’s cheap, easy, and will definately increase HP and torque.

computer work, play around with when the vtec hits.(vtec controller)

K&N intake , and an apexi cat back… also if you really wanted to a skunk 2 intake manifold
with all this you should get a few (30 +) hp

push the pedal down a little harder,
increase airflow to the engine by changeing to a performence filter,
increase the exaust diameter (just don’t overdo it)
