You can’t just bolt a turbo onto a normally aspirated engine. Your Honda is fitted with a fantastic 183bhp engine to start with, putting around 40bhp up on a Vauxhall or Ford ’sporty’ engine of the same time – to turbo charge your car, you’d need to reduce it’s compression by changing the crankshaft or pistons or altering the cylinder head, have the engine management remapped, have manifolds built & fitted, etc.
The fact that you want a dump valve means that you’re probably interested in more ’show’ than ‘go’ – The Prelude is still renowned to be one of the best handling cars of the ’90s, with one of the best engines in the 2.2 model. If you want noise without the performance, handling, build quality & reliability, then buy a Focus.
I would start by equipping yourself with a few more brain cells.
Why not just get an air tank, compressor and dump valve and pretend it’s turbo?
just put it on and get it tuned to turbo specs.
