How much improvement could I get? I love these cars except at lower speed autocrosses and on the front speedway at the race track.

i agree on the n/a built first….but if that doesnt cut it for you then the super charger would be better for the low end..
supercharger- low end to mid range power and torque (quick accelleration)
turbocharger- mid to high end range power and torque (high speed)
Supercharge it if you want power throughtout the power band. Turbo it if you want power to really kick in at a certain RPM. The 0-60 times will be faster, but there’s no for sure number since different superchargers and turbos will vary in power levels. I personally, love the turbo. You can tune it on where you want it to kick in,but with the right parts oh boy its a lot of fun to drive and you wont ever go back to owning a car without a turbo in it.
for lower speed autox i would do a na before i would sc or turbo the s2000.
a decent na build and some 3.77 gears would destroy a sc s2000 in an autox.
3.77 gears make the tranny in the s2000 a much closer gear raito and and makes each gear smaller.
also from all the dynos ive seen on the s2k a smaller turbo has better low end then a sc
For autocross you would get a lot more potential from the supercharger as it will not need to spool at all. Plus with the set-up of the S2000 engine I would not recommend boosting it too much, keep it as much of an all motor car as you can. Put some cams in it and just beef the motor up itself.
