I want to add more HP to my Accord coupe but I dont want to get a turbo kit. (not yet anyway) I would like to add 40 HP to it but Im not sure how or if its even possible. I already plan to get a catback exhaust and a short ram intake but I know thats not gona bring it up 40 more HP. Any suggestions? The more details the better
they have a lot of after market parts for your car i would start off with the intake first you want to get more air in to your engine as possible it also makes a nice sound. what i did was pick a motor sport shop and work my way up the line with intake, pulley, headers, cat back , and performance chip on my Monte SS it took me a while but it was all worth the waiting.

dont forget the headers, a catback exhaust aint **** with out some high performance headers(dcsports), you could also change you pully kit, put in some upgraded cams(skunk stage2),aftermarket cam gears(orthodox racing), ignition box(msd) with upgraded spark plugs(make sure their denso or ngk) and wires(denso or ngk), this should be a start for your 40hp goal
The intake and exhaust are a good start, Don’t get a short ram air intake though. you need to find an intake that pulls air from the stock location… from the fender, otherwise it’s just pulling hot air from the engine compartment.
Other simple bolt ons you can try would be, lightweight pullies, chip or tuner.
since your getting a exhaust already , change ur intake to a cold air intake. get some headers mayb 4 to 1. then get some new spark plugs and new spark plug wires with a MSD kit. it would offer you more spark. and if your motor doesnt have vtec. convert it to vtec just by changing cams and valves if possible
