4 Comments 29 November 2009

I have a 00 Honda prelude H22,
Mod:
MSD SYSTEM
DC HEADERS
I want to install a Turbo, but how can I reinforce the engine so it would take the kick? and also what else can I modify in the car to reach my goal?

You will not achieve 400hp in that car without a NOS kit. When it comes to HP, there is no substitute for Cubic Inches. So without a good sized block… you have to run a hotter fuel in the delivery system… IE Nitrous.

Do you know how to drive a 400 hp FWD car? Don’t get your self killed. I rode in an STI with close to 400 at the wheels and it’s scary. I can’t imagine what it’s like with less control.

At that power level almost every system from exhaust to fuel delivery to spark is all going to have to be modified.Huge amounts of time and money. I would consider – if you are serious about it – starting with engine removal and “blueprinting”. Strapping a bunch of stuff to the outside of your otherwise stock internals is a “recipe for disaster”.

I hate powerful FWD cars, they torque steer all over the place, all that power/braking and steering through the front wheels… Poor you and poor car… Buy something 4×4 or RWD its totally better and they are much better on a track/drift day!!! Driving a 800bhp car in 4×4 or RWD format is much better and much safer than 300bhp FWD, for as long as you respect it and dont press the pedal too hard!!!!!
