i have a 2000 ford focus zx3 turbocharged and a 1995 honda civic dx and i want to install a ignition killswitch, people who know how to do it are expensive and im a lil short of money and want to doit myself i have installed alarms but this type of kill switch dont ,does any one know and could tell me how? i want to turn on my defroster or my high beams so that the car starts and that way be the only one who knows about it could it be possible to do it?
GO to a shop and have it done…….i wont even attempt to inform on this ….I have rewired to many wiring harness from people that think they can do it ..to save a few bucks….
no offense…oh and Fred a relay needs to be used between a switch and a starter……too much current will melt the switch without one(hint switches good for 1-5amps)…starter can req up to 20+amp
theres a wire that goes to your starter you can cut the wire and put a on,off switch on it and run it under your seat.
