I have a 2000 Honda Prelude and I’m going to get a rev hard bolt on turbo kit and I wanted to know how fast it will go 0-60 and what will the top speed be. Right now it goes 0-60 in the low 7’s and top speed is 140. Thanks for the help if anyone knows!
Whatever you do, make sure the car is tuned correctly or that turbo kit will do you no good what so ever. I suggest you also look into rebuilding the engine and making it stronger so it can withstand the turbo. Blown motor isn’t fun.
it’s all depending on the size (trim) of the trubo that you going to buy. the second thing they you have to think about is how much psi your engine can handle safely. i would think the h22 that you have right now can handle safely up to 12 psi safely. now 0-60 will noticeable for sure and you probably can go down to 6 seconds , but that depends on the psi and how fast you shift. the top speed is set by honda that when your car reach top speed will no longer go any faster . unless you change the computer setting or get it tuned .
Its ALL about how you tune your car after you install your turbo kit. Make sure you take it to some one who knows what their doing. Remember you can have the best turbo kit in the world but if its not tuned right then its worthless. I had a 95 civic with a gsr with simple bolt-ons and an ebay turbo and I was running low 11s at the 1/4 mile. Good Look
you will have to change your style of driving , you cannot have a heavy foot with a turbo and expect all the power to be there all at once , but you will notice when it spools the trow back in your seat take off good luck with your prodject
Your top speed will not change, but you will accelerate a bit faster.
and thats not fast enough/10 year old car and all that old engine and all that new pressure//could be step on gas go boom
