Turbocivic is 100% right. i used to have a Civic with a turbo and I was putting out 220 whp. I would recommend having your engine built for any turbo application- even at 6 psi- contrary to what everyone says. It’ll just increase your reliability to N/A Civic levels. I used to have a 1990 Civic Si with a T3 turbo. I was actually running less than 10 and I detonated the engine because I didn’t have it built first. Nowadays, smog is the big problem. Build that engine or better yet, swap for a more powerful one. A supercharger would be another choice because it’s friendlier to stock engines than a turbo and it’s usually more reliable than a turbo. However you won’t get huge power out of the supercharger like the turbo. You will have quite a bit more than you currently have though. In the end, the choice is yours

put it this way… you would still get beat by a stock WRX… and they only run a 14.4 1/4 mile.

It all depends on what boost you will be running. Aftermarket turbo system usually run @6-8 psi which is like @ 50hp on a stock block. To really want power with turbo, you must build the motor for you specific needs and not just that ,the fuel system, electronics, suspension and tranny. Of course the more power it makes, it will become smog ILLEGAL.

5 hp giving you a total of 15 hp

Unless the turbo is the size of the gas tank or running ungoldly amounts of boost, you wont really see much of an inprovement, probably around 5-10% hp increase
