How To Customize My Honda Integra (acura Rsx)…?

5 Comments 21 January 2010

Hey everyone just want some tips and tricks on my car for both performance and looks.
I have a 2003 model Honda Integra BASE model – aka Acura RSX for overseas ppl (pls don’t say u shoulda got the type S or R etc i didnt have the extra 10-15K at the time)..
The car already is pearl white with 19inch black konig rims with chrome polished lip, a type R body kit is fitted all round and i’ve got a full exhaust system with a pod filter connected to a pipe to the engine… the car is factory height (any tips on how far to lower it without going too too far to the ground i still need to be able to get over speed humps lol if anyone knows king springs that’ll be good for me)
Basically i just wanted to know what people like in terms of looks for my car, spoiler no spoiler – atm it has the base spoiler which i dont really like, performance options (without a turbo because im a provisional drive and am restricted to turbo’d cars) and yea u all know wat i mean :) any engine mods and brands as well.
Thanks in advance!

I would lower it with Tein Coilovers. Get rid of those huge rims, because after the drop, you’re gonna be f’in up your wheel well every where. Throw on a Mugen Lip, and Mugen Wing for exterior. Upgrade to HID headlamps. Just your normal I/H/E for performance, since turbo is out. The K motor is pretty sweet already. I prefer Greddy engine components. Just my suggestions.

for performance theres really not much you can do and not much horsepower you can gain
the rsx looks really nice so if i were you i’d just work on the looks more, JDM is kinda tacky these days just go clean find some halo eyes no spoiler lower it chrome rims and you’re good

1st of all, 19’s are way too big, 18’s are big enough but i would prefer 17’s personally… you may have to get different wheels when you lower it depending on how low you go. I’m dropped 2 inches on Skunk2 springs and have no problems getting over speed bumps, plus it looks sexy as mess!! O and you should def. go ITR wing (type-r), it looks soooo much better than the stock wing, you can get a good replica wing from spoilerdepot.com, it’s where i got mine and it fit perfectly in the same holes that the stock wing was in… Performance wise, I’ve got a fujita CAI, Strup race header with no cat, megan exhaust, stage 2 clutch with 10 lb. flywheel, and hondata kpro. Im very happy with my setup, it’s not freakin sick but it’s decent for a daily driver at between 205-210 to the wheels.
hope this helps… and good luck!!
By the way, someone already said this, but join clubrsx.com they’ve helped me alot on there, and some of the threads are very informative.
