I Am Thinking About Putting A Turbo On My 93 Honda Civic 1.5l. What Is A Good Turbo And Psi To Run It At?

4 Comments 06 August 2009

I am trying to make my car into a little rice racer. I have all stock internals. Just need to know some good turbos out there and what is the recommended PSI to run it at. And what kind of horsepower will i get from it. Also what I should upgrade in my car.

well on that you can put a GReddy or turbonetics turbo system on it. And with stock internal you can run bout 8 psi on that so you dont blow your engine. on that car you prolly make 200hp area to the crank. you gonna need to buy low compression pistons valves retainers and basically all internal parts if you wanna run bout 250 to 300 hp on that car witout blowing your engine.

you rather swap than put a turbo on a high mileage engine
because soon its gonna blow up if you dont rebuild your engine from bottom to block to hold agains the turbos
if you do it set aroung 8-10 psi
    should get almost to 180hp

You should upgrade nothing or everything – everything being throw away the D15 and swap in a B18.
That engine will make little more than 200hp on stock internals.

    What to upgrade?
    Make and model.
