Work on the enging breathing first. Get a good aftermarket Air Induction Sytem and then some Flowmaster exhaust and converter. Don’t always look at the engine first as the way to gain power. The breathing, preferable of cold air, and the exhaust, creating lest back pressure, is always the first thing to work on in increasing horsepower.
I can’t say what the cost would be. I’ve spent my life working on the super cars of the 60s and 70s.
Once you have that taken care of, you can work in an aftermarket ignition, headers, etc.

None of these people have any clue what they are talking about…
To be honest, you are not going to be able to extract much power out of that auto Accord. Sell the car to a 16 year old girl and buy a civic ex or si.
The cost of all these mods will be more than your car is worth and they will still disappoint you greatly. Chipping a Honda is the dumbest thing you can do because all it does is advance your timing just to the point of detonation and its backed off by 2-3 degrees. Chipping a Honda = KABOOM for engine!

cold air intake. full exhaust and headers. performance distributor and ignition. performance chip. all t,ogether would give you about 50-70 hp
