i went to h&r block last year and they did a good job but they charged me over 300 dollars which is crazy, but i have pretty much a simple return just a w-2 from my job the intrest statement from my house,property tax receipt and 4 kids for eic and additional tax credit do you think the free turbo tax would work for me or do i need a pro to do it again? btw i only made 33k in 2008
I do Turbo Tax yearly and think its terrific. You can purchase the Deluxe version which goes through every possible deduction at Costco this month for 36.00 and it comes with free federal filing as well as the state’s forms if you have a state income tax (you have to pay the filing fee for the state however). Its very easy and economical, so I would say definitely yes.
