My friend owns a 2007 Honda Civic DX if i remember correctly. He wants to install the turbocharger himself with the help of me. The only problem is that I have no experience in installing turbos and need all the information I can get(as detailed as possible). Is this a cost effective way of increasing horsepower? Can his engine handle the extra compression? What are some of the added/unexpected costs of installing one? What new parts are required? Where can I buy a turbo charger suited to his car? What brands to look for and others to stay away from?

we have an old honda and planing to install a simple turbo from a junkyard to install to and see power before discarding it. what is necessary with the turbo? a fuel line? (not trying to spend much on extra like intercooler ect) . thanks

I have a 2003 honda Civic lx and after all the mods put in and putting a turbonetics trubocharger in it the mechanic gave me the name of 3 gauges i should get.. he said 1 for oil pressure another for my electric volts and another for my turbo. i got the 3 gauges and now im wondering how much it would cost to get them proffessionally wired and in working condition? any help would be great
