my best friend just bought a 2001 volkswagen vr6 last night and my 99 prelude is now challenged for the crown of fastest car among our friends. I want to make my car faster without adding exhaust because i hate the loud drone of an exhaust system. what can i do to do the engine naturally (no turbo) that will increase hp and make my car fly by his gti like hes standing still? I guess another side question to this question is whats the best way to start/launch my car in first gear? vtec kicks in around 5200 but tires spin so its tough to get a good start and he smokes me everytime cause he has traction control. any help is appreciated. thanks!

Which car do you think I should get 1994-99 Volkswagon Jetta VR6, 1992-96 Honda Prelude VTEC, 1995-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo / Eagle Talon TSI?
Jetta VR6 = 172HP
Prelude VTEC = 195HP
Eclipse Turbo = 210HP
I was wondering which one would be faster, the Jetta has a 2.8 litre six cylinder engine, but I don’t know if it would be as fast as the other two 4 cylinders with more horse power. The Eclipse has a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turboed engine, the smallest but it’s got a turbo. The Prelude has a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder VTEC engine.
I will most likely put some performance mods on which ever one I get: Exaust kit, Cold air intake.
Which car should I get?
