Should I Turbo My Civic? Only Answer If You Have Turbo Civic With A D17a1 Engine?

5 Comments 13 January 2010

i am thinking about turboing my 2002 honda civic lx sedan with an automatic transmission. I have heard that the d17a1 engine(the engine in my car) can only handle about 200 hp and are not a good candidate for turbo. Im not looking to build a really fast civic just one that is moderately fast like zero to sixty in low sevens with like 180 hp or so. what would be the best turbo for my car and how much would it cost fyi i probably would not install it myself.
