To be exact, the 1985 Renault Turbo F1 car with a qualifying engine which had according to Derek Warwick 1550bhp. This versus the 2005 Honda F1 car with the 3 litre V10 which was touching 1000bhp. I know back in 2003 at Monza Michael Schumacher recorded the fastest F1 speed ever at 230.5mph but would an 80’s turbo qualifying F1 car with more horsepower be faster in a drag race than the V10s? Also round a circuit like Silverstone or Barcelona.. which would be faster?

I do not race but I want to have the power to occasionally beat out my brothers 350z, which has exhaust, chip, intake, headers, and thats it.
be able to beat without question the average “souped up” honda civic.
be able to beat the majority of cars on the road in quarter mile times.
I am thinking Nitrous is the best answer as I am talking about needing power on tap 10 times a year or so. at most. I’m in the navy so i’m away about 8 months. I’d just like to show up my brother if needbe, when i’m down the shore, show up the usual honda’s if required, and the rest of the time have a great sporty driver which is reliable.

I basically wanted to know, do all 2-door Civic EX’s come stock with VTEC? And, what’s the biggest STOCK sized engine I can get with the most horsepower on a VTEC ranging from years 2001-2005?
I was planning on buying a Civic and saving putting a turbo on it..
Please no “rude remarks” such as ” Why waste time on a Honda, and buy ’something else.’ ”
If you want the answer it’s because I love Honda’s and I’m 17.. so that’s what fit’s into my budget ($1000-$8000), UNLESS you can somehow change my mind with a FOREIGN car company.. not American.
