Upgrading My 1998 Honda Accord. ?

3 Comments 25 January 2010

im looking to upgrade my honda accord. i already have a cold air intake and im already planing on getting new headers and a cat-back. i just need to know what else i should get. it puts out 150 stock plus what the CAI gave me. id like to get up to 200 HP without a supercharger or turbo charger. but i know thats asking alot out of my engine.

not bad for a first start…
try upgrading your cam and cam gears.. pulleys.. fuel injector and fuel rail.. do that after u get ur headers and exhaust.. then maybe if you want port and polish the head.. get the bigger intake manifold. and throttle body…if anything bore out your block get bigger pistons..
and after all of that you’ll get more then 200.. more then what you ask for..
but for simple get ur headers, exhaust.. cam gears,, throttle body, injectors. and pulleys..
    hope that helps.. =]

hate to throw water in your gas tank but i doubt u are going to be able to raise HP by 40% unless u turbo it. if you get an extra five out of cai, catback and headers i would be pretty surprised. save your money, put it aside and save up for a v6 accord. they are pretty darn quick. in the meantime drive safe.

You will not get there unless you spend the money.
I have a 4 cylinder ‘99 Accord with a cold air intake, 4-2-1 headers, catback exhaust, and pulleys. All that made a big difference from stock, had no problems beating most V6s of the time. I’m sure driving a 5 speed instead of an auto helped.
