Maybe u will like to keep ur stock airbox, remove the filter in it and run a pipe from the airbox to the front of the car. Install a HKS filter at the end of the pipe, which will just sits behind the bumper. Its a cheap and good way to maintain the air/fuel ratio. Response from low-end to mid and high will improve, u might also wanna bored ur throttlebody and replaced the butterfly. If budget allows, u might also wanna change ur extractor. Keep the stock muffler, if u didnt rebuilt ur engine.

I agree with Daniel. There are many after market options for the Civic. Starting with the air intake and exhaust is always a good place. I have a Civic myself and am in the process of installing parts and I’ve found that Ebay is the best place. There’s a lot to choose from and the prices are amazing! You can spend hundreds on a K & N air intake set up and close to a thousand on a Skunk2 exhaust, but I bought both set ups on Ebay and paid about $150 altogether. Piping is piping, you’re not going to get more power by spending money on a name.
After those two additions other options would be a new header, high flow catalytic converter (check for state inspection laws), and ignition components (spark plugs, spark plug wires, etc.). Again check Ebay for these items!
    Good luck

Here’s where Google can be a time saver with key words. Also through this forum I have found some nifty sites.I have listed my two favorite. One for stock and one for performance. The Civic has to be the most popular for performance suppliers, scads of stuff.Get’s more difficult for us Accord owners.Good luck

start out easy change the intake to a cold air or short ram intake replace the intake manifold with a bigger one get rid of the stock headers and a full exhaust system should do the trick good luck
