i have been told you should only run a civic with 6 psi of boost. i want to know what do i need to do so i can run alot more boost and how much it will run me, and how much hp will i endup with?

not a smart thing to do on a d16..
Bigger exhaust, bigger injectors and an bigger intercooler. As well as a mechanism to control the waste gate. I don’t know if your boost is limited by the size of the turbo charger that is already on it or the waste gate control. You might not need a bigger turbo, just a waste gate control, and injectors (along with a better intercooler).
if you go stock internals you’ll have a hard time with just even 7 psi. with everything everyone stated above and new pistons, you’d probably gain about 50-70hp at 6-8 psi
