well im 16 and i just bought a eg6 and i want to put some more hp into it….i was thinking of putting a B16 or a B18…..and i want to run it all motor at least 4 now…maybe turbo later when i can save some more $$$…..what other mods can i get with either engines?????
b18c dohc vtec.
the b18c is the best as it has the best in both worlds. because the b18c revs out to 8and a half like the b16a but with a bigger cc rating and the h22a and the h20 all rev low they make out at 7200rpm
First of all if you own a eg6 it should already have a b16a2 in it. If not i would reccomend a b18c1 from the Integra GSR.

well since their both B series they should be easy to swap. mods could be alot cuz they are very popular: intake, exhaust, turbo, headers, cams, pulley set, pistons, alot more because they are very popular. but if you dont plan on working on the car much before you trade it or sell it then i would suggest dont do the swap at all because yeah you’ll have power now but when it comes to people who actually have worked on their cars you wont stand a chance. the engines are worth like 3000-4000 for everything then about 1000 to install. i dont think you have that money but if you do its up to you.
If money is a problem you can always go with the B16A1 motor and usually they run for about $2,500. But if you have extra money to spend the B18C1 from the Integra GSR would be nice and those run for about $3,000 to $3,500 and you get all the parts needed to install like the Transmission, ECU, and Engine Mounts.
As for the Mods there endless. Usually the basic stuff you would do is Intake, Headers, & Exhaust.
buy a crashed civic or integra Type R with no engine damage and swap everything over
that can be a great way of saving money, cause if your lucky enough to find a good one you can also get interior and other stuff like spare parts
