Subaru WRX sti will win with 300 hp.

umm lets think here………oviously the scoobie would smoke the hatch…..he wouldnt have a chance. your talking like 350+ for the scooby and about 200-220 for the hatch

The wrx!!! A Subaru even without turbo is so f’ing fast it isn’t funny! I have a modified one (although I can’t even drive yet, but I was bored and put some vinyls on it!) But WITH a turbo its gonna be a f’ing faster!!! An STI with Turbo can kicks any Honda’s ***!

that depends on a lot of things. Straight race? rally race? Either way, i’d say the wrx sti. It looks better and performs better. The sti is already 300hp and awd. Its even less of a headache for the greener mecahnic. Just buy and play. So, who will win? The sti will win in looks, in a straight 1/4 mile, in a rally, in the snow, in the rain, in comfort, in style. The hatch only wins in price and mpg. Everyone and their mama can get a hatch for 1g and toss a motor in there for a bit more.
I’ve had a hatchback (no gsr) and a wrx.

That depends on many things including horsepower/weight ratio, gearing, transmissions, driver, etc… Generally speaking, the AWD is a huge plus in the WRX.
If you are consider buying one or the other, I would steer clear of the GSR-motored Honda for a couple reasons. One is the registration and legal issues. In some states like California and Jersey, it could be nearly impossible to smog and register the car. Second is you don’t know whether the swap was done right or poorly. Problems with the swap may not show up until a few months pass, things like module integration, overheating, sensor compatability, etc…
If the Honda has any straight-line advantage at all over the WRX, $500 in parts will fix that inequality and you’ll still have a reliable factory car that’s smoggable. In the corners, the WRX will blow the Honda into the weeds.
Finally, the resale on a plain-Jane Honda hatchback is less than the Subie, especially with a Hi-Po motor swap.
Hondas are great vehicles, however when comparing this particular one with a good WRX, there is no comparison.

Lots of factors to consider. Manual or automatic cars? Are the drivers retarded in anyway (lol)? Condition of road/type of race…etc. If the WRX driver is scared of going fast and has a manual tranny but doesn’t know how to drive it, then they obviously wont’ win. The MORE LIKELY outcome would be the WRX taking the win, but there’s too many things to consider.
Just race and find out! If I had a WRX I’d be racing that thing any day.

I say STi, especially with a bigger turbo, it’s probably pushing 350+hp (not to mention the launch due to it being AWD) to the GSR’s (B18c1) 170 hp… the Subaru is an actual performance car, the Honda is, well, a Honda (ricer), and if it’s a stock GSR then it’s not fast anyway.
Not a rice man, but that’s my opinion.

  8. blueman2 says:

    depends on the driver

  9. Justin M says:

Subi…. Hands down (unless that driver is retarded, like previously stated)

  10. caddy girl says:

sti hands down……..all wheel drive all the time handling makes driveing and control the easiest of all sport sedans

  11. katarzyn says:

I would say that a Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti, because it is liter.

  12. chibi_ss says:

neither the 5.0 mustang flying by them

  13. Wes says:

to many factors. in a straight line, it might be close, but add a single curve, slightly slippry roads.. the wrex for sure. i would think the sti would destroy in any circumstance though. especially with an upgraded turbo. which is also a pretty vague term. plus its pretty rare that someone upgrades a turbo and nothing else. im thinking you need to ask a lot more questions about cars before you ask this one.

  14. leanne n says:

i think subaru because it is 4 wheel drive
